Dentyne Social Media Campaign – #emptycupholder

Here is the latest social media campaign from the marketing team over at Dentyne.

Pretty simple actually, Dentyne is wanting to promote the fact that their gum packages fit into the cup holder of your car. If you twitpic a picture of an empty cup holder they’ll send you a free pack of gum. Not a bad deal, they’ll get their gum out there and get some people (like me) blogging about it. Lets not forget about the increased followers on Twitter.

Here is what you have to do:

  1. Visit http://fillthecupholder.dentyne.com/
  2. Take a twitpic of an empty car cup holder
  3. Add hashtag #emptycupholder and @DentyneGum in your twitpic message
  4. Submit and upload
  5. Then visit their site, give them your address and they’ll send you some gum…

It will be interesting to see how Dentyne plans to follow up this campaign. They will have an increased Brand awareness and an extremely high follower count on Twitter. Don’t waste it!
